Wroclaw, Poland

Zdjecia/Pictures
??? After Christmas, we took the train 4 hours west to the city of Wroclaw. Greg has friends that live there and we were able to tour the city. Here is the "town hall" in their Market Square.
??? This is a photo of the restaurant off the Market where we ate.
??? Buildings surrounding the Market. Wroclaw was the host of an International Conference two years ago, and all of the downtown was restored for that Conference.
??? Here is our lovely tour guide, Marysia.
??? Here is another view of the Market Square and the large Town Hall.
??? As you can tell, I was very tired on the train ride back to Krakow.
??? One afternoon, we took a shuttle to Wieliczka, the oldest continuously operating salt mine in the world.
??? These little guys are carved from salt.
??? Another small gnome and a beautiful chandelier carved from salt.
??? This is one of the original pullies that horses would power. This would be used as a primitive elevator.
